Tabletop Engine (or TTE) was created to allow users to develop fleshed out and balanced tabletop role playing games (or TTRPGs) of any genre and tone as fast as possible. All content is user-designed. Compared to popular TTRPGs like Dungeons and Dragons, TTE offers more creative expression, much less prep, and a significantly lower barrier to entry.
Game Masters (GMs) create "datapacks" that contain everything about your TTRPG. It contains the species, background, and class options for character creation, indexes for items and features, and for advanced GMs, indexes for custom skills, and player conditions. These datapacks are meant to be compact references that contain all of the information about your game that you want to give out. They don't include any rules, as all tabletops made with TTE will use the TTE ruleset defined in this website.
RULES
Teaches how to play the game in two parts; first as a player, and second as a GM. You don't need to learn how to make datapacks if you aren't a GM.
TOOLS
